Cleaning Secateurs

Whats is best to clean secateurs and scissors.

    I use rubbing alcohol to kill off any disease that might transfer between trees, etc.

    I am a self-confessed lazy so-and-so and generally I don't bother :/. But if I do, it's a quick wipe with an oily cloth (3-in-1 or whatever's handy).

    I've never cleaned mine , nor sharpened them

    I've never given my Felcos a clean and sharpen in the 5-6 years I've had them.
    I watched the vid above and sort of followed the steps, and I'm so glad I did.
    The whole process took no more than 15 minutes and they are like new :)
    The action is really smooth and although I was a bit nervous sharpening the blade it now cleany cuts a sheet of paper!
    Well worth the minimal effort
