Angel Wings

Karr16Karr16 Posts: 4
I am a novice gardener i have 6 Angel Wings in my raise flower beds and 3 of them have something attacking them? They are not next to each other in the flow beds
Can anyone tell me what could be making these big holes in the leaves please?
And how can I prevent this?

There was a similar post as this over the weekend.  I too have this problem on just one of my plants and had no idea as to what was wrong. Everyone says slugs or snails, but today, BINGO! I was doing a bit of poking around one one leaf, and I found a caterpillar actually under the outer skin of the leaf. I suspect it is a sawfly. I don't care too much for chemicals but think I might try treating it with Bug Clear but will have to buy some first!

I haven’t yet planted these angel wings yet, so I have moved them away from any soil and put them on a glass table to see if this persists, at least that will eliminate slugs or snails.
I will also get some bug clear as well.

I have found the culprit this
morning it’s a green caterpillar that’s like to live in the curl of new leaves
(see pic) does anyone know what caterpillar this is and how to get rid?

Your photo is a bit blurry, but from your description l would say it's a sawfly caterpillar as @Joy* mentioned above.
