Odd chilli plant

Can anyone tell me what's going on with this chilli plant? Is it a normal way to grow? What on earth are these chillis? I grew the plant from a packet of mixed chilli seeds

They look good to me, and a healthy plant.
I'm guessing they are going to be a similar shape to a Scotch Bonnet

I don't grow chillies j.newland123 so not sure what you might expect but I do grow bell peppers and that is exactly what they look like  :)

I can’t see a problem. Chillis come in all sorts of shapes and colours. Some of them don’t ‘hang downwards’ until they’re ripening, and done never hang downwards. Some are short and fat. some are long and thin.

This year we have Apache,  ‘Blue Christmas’ which has purple stems and flowers, and ‘Carolina Reaper’ which comes with a warning!!! 🔥  🥵

  • Thank you all, I've just never had chilli growing straight up like that before. You live and learn!

Let us know how it goes and what you get when they’re ripe. 😊 🌶

These chillies actually look great, my Hot Paper Lantern is only starting to flower 🙄
But the Basket of Fire is really having a good season and the tiny chillies on it are starting to turn dark (they do so before turning red).
