HELP! My dog tipped my bag of late potatoes.

I had a bag of late potatoes, Desiree, in flower and this morning my dog tipped them and ripped the plants apart.  There are 5 good stalks, no leaves left and he didn't get down to the potatoes themselves.  
Can I save them?  

What makes this worse is I have 1/2 a bag of earlys sitting out and my 2nd earlys are beside the later.  It wouldn't have been so bad if he had tipped these and saved me some work.

    Probably not. You could try watering them and see if any new leaves sprout. Without leaves, the tatties won't get any bigger.

    Thanks, I’ll give it a go at this point I have nothing to lose as is it's far too early for them otherwise.
