Can anyone ID this plant in the middle of the planter? The round leaves dont seem to match up with what I remember sowing there (Nigella and Cosmos) 🙈 Hand for scale...
Thanks @tuikowhai34, that’s really interesting! Definitely not planted anything edible except tomatoes this year!
Thanks for the slug pellet advice @Mrs-R3...it was a new tub and I didn’t realise there was no “sprinkle” top in this one like my last one! They are definitely sweet peas with the tendrils.....but wondering what the ones further forwards are... xx
I'm pretty sure they are flowers of some kind and not weeds but I can't seem to put a name to them, even though I'm sure I've seen such seedlings before. Maybe some type of poppy?
A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.

Yes they seem familiar to me too...I’m watching them avidly for more clues as they develop!
2 weeks on and I'm still none the wiser so thought I'd pop by with some more pics as the plant develops to see if its more recognisable to you knowledgeable folk now?!
The first pic is an extreme close up of the middle of the plant, where it looks like flowers may be forming?
The second pic is a wider view of the plant as a whole, its just larger than my handspan and something's been enjoying munching the leaves!
By the way you have piles too many slug pellets there. There is some scientific reason for leaving large gaps but I can't remember what it is.
maybe because slug pellets attract slugs or maybe because it's time we stopped killing of our wildlife and letting the natural balance take over, what we do now in unsustainable
