    Could it be a philadelphus (mock orange)? I'm only going by the leaves but if you saw it in spring it would have had very pretty white flowers and a delicious scent.  Hope it is because if you have room for it, it is beautiful.  Not much to see after leaves go though but worth it for the spring bloom and scent.

    Might be some sort of Dogwood shrub/tree.

    It's philadelphus coronrius aureus.
    I grow it for the spring leaves.
