Hydrangea not looking great

Hi folks,I planted this Hydrangea about 4 to 6 weeks ago and it doesn't look in great condition,can I save this and is there anything I can do to help it?Leaves are brown and crusty and some of the heads had rotted too

    Lots and lots of water ... keep the soil moist ... and remove any grass growing around it.

    And clean away all the dead leaves and cut the dried stems back to close to the main stem. They probably got shocked by being planted out after being in the pots. They should recover as long as they like where they have been planted.

    Ok will do it's in a bed and it's mulch that you can see at the base it was clean soil but I added some mulch as a neighbour had pine trees cut down that has been through a chipper,it was like that before I put the mulch down though.I shall give it a good drink anyway,thanks
