Please Id this shrub

Is it the May bride bush that I’ve tried to propagate cuttings from or is a sucker weedy thing I’m nurturing?
I have another photo of one in a plant pot if these aren’t clear. Red stem and the younger leaves have red tinge.

Sadly neither look like Exochorda macrantha The Bride.
They look like weedy willow...Salix sp.
    Perthshire. SCOTLAND .

Oh I am disappointed with that, have never managed to propagate my May Bride yet. This is the May bride which is almost 15 years old.
And this is the same shrub that I thought I propagated looking like a bonsai but if it’s a weedy willow I don’t think I want to keep it in the borders. Might let it grow in the pot as a pretend bonsai 😄

I forgot to add the pretend bonsai weedy willow if that’s what it is

I’ve just pulled up 3 of these weedy willows, the largest one was over 5 ft tall. I’m going to give it another try propagating the May bride this year.
  • Looks a lot like Salix caprea, the goat willow. It fools people because it does not have the strap-like leaves most people associate with weeping willows.

I think you’re right @rachelQrtJHBjb but it supports wildlife so I’m leaving the specimen one in the pot. Aphids on it so I’m going to give it a prune at some point.
