Miracle-Gro shelf life

Afternoon everyone.  Quick question.  I’ve found an old batch of Miracle-Gro All Purpose Concentrated Liquid Plant Food in the shed which must be well over 5 years old.  Does this stuff have a shelf life and is it ok to use or shall I invest in new?  Thanks in advance.

I'm using some which was opened last year, a bit soggy as it's abosorbed moisture, but I'm happy to use ti.
    Devon.

    Is it unopened?

If so, does it have a use by date?

Hello @pansyface, yes, it’s definitely been opened but no use by date 😕

    I'd use  it.
Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained

Thanks @Hostafan1 Is yours the granular one as mine is the liquid.  As @amancalledgeorge says ... what’s the worst that can happen? 😕

mine WAS granular, it's now... more of a paste.
Worst that could happen is nothing at all.
It's not going to turn into weedkiller

    That’s the consensus so far @JennyJ 🤞

I'd expect the only drawback might be that it's less effective - a bit like spices that have been lying in a cupboard for along time.  :)

Please smell the container, before you use it.
Mine was kept in my Conservatory, and killed my lovely Clematus Constance
two days later it was dead.
I smelt the Miracle Grow and it had turned to Ammonia !
