Chilli Pepper "Pearls"

I still have hot chilli peppers in the freezer from last year, so decided to try these small chillies.  The ones that you can buy in jars are delicious, and a home-grown supply seemed like a good idea.

Of the six seeds that I sowed in March, only two germinated.  After all this time, and having pricked them out and then repotted, I now have one plant that is barely 2" tall, and the other has reached the dizzying height of 7".  There is no evidence of real growth, let alone fruiting.

It could just be a bad batch of seed, or it may be that more specialist care was needed (although there is nothing on the seed packet to indicate any special care other than the usual sowing and nurturing for chillies).

Has anyone else had experience of these particular chillies?

I have written to the company (Suttons) who I have found to be extremely reliable over many years.

Thank you @shooter007.  Perhaps it would have helped if the explanation of the growth of the plants on the packet showed that  they spread.  I've looked again today, and there are lots of potential side shoots, and a few tiny flower buds.  I now have hope for some sort of result!
