Pond plants that are non toxic to cats and dogs

I've scoured the internet for suggestions but I'm getting nowhere, does anyone know of any small pond plants that wouldn't poison an inquisitive dog and cat?

Thanks

I have had a garden pond in 3 successive gardens since 1983.  I have always had cats and for the last 12 years dogs too.   None has ever been poisoned or just made ill by pond plants or any other garden plant including a wide range of aquatics and marginals for ponds plus the usual suspects like digitalis, aconitum, lilies etc.

I have 2 ponds, one heavily planted and have had dogs for 20+ years and like Obelixx (and many others here) never had any problems.
Many toxic plants are extremely bitter so would be of no interest

I do not think you should any qualms about the cat eating poisonous plants but if your dog is young and inquisitive you might want to be more vigilant. However I bet there are plenty of plants already growing in your garden that are harmful to cats and dogs. Have you felt it necessary to remove them too?

Why would pond plants poison cats or dogs?
