  • I think you've used a sledgehammer to crack a nut...and to me they look very close to one another. Hope you're prepared for the constant maintenance if you want to keep it at a manageable height. Far too many horror stories coming thought this forum every week.

  • I agree with george. Leylandii are 100ft wannabes, and totally unsuitable for a pocket-handkerchief garden, even with constant trimming. Instant gratification, but then constant hard work to maintain.
    I would have planted something nice instead. There are plenty of flowering shrubs which would be more attractive and far less work.

  • Oh well what can you do...maybe they jumped out and started digging those buggers up.
