Fuchsia Display is an oldie and well worth growing.  It was introduced by Smith in 1881.  It is a strong grower and presents itself best as a shrub or standard.  I hgave grown it as both, and have to say, it makes a great standard.  It is quite hardy, but considering our climate changes, I personally would grow it in a large pot/container and give it at least cold greenhouse winter protection.
