Henbane seedpods?

hello. Me again. Does anybody know of the right time to harvest henbane seeds? And what colour should the seeds be?
I have one henbane plant which has a lot of seedpods on it but the capsule inside the pod is still green. But the plant looks like it is a the end of its life. So any tips on harvesting them would be great.

As a general 'rule of thumb' with seeds, they need to be left on the plant until the pods brown and dry and start naturally releasing the seeds, which will be ripe at that point.  Most unripe seeds taken when the pods are still green won't germinate (although there are a few exceptions, such as some primula species.)  In this case I think you need to try and keep the mother plant going as long as possible as those pods look very young to me.
A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.

    Right. Thank you.
but I feel as if it is dying. Will the seeds still mature on the plant or not?

It's an annual, it is almost at the end of its life, just seed to ripen and then it's done
