Was it one of that type, or another type? I am growing a gold one which is OK, and Black Forest which have yet to produce a fruit.

There are also reports this season of rogue Thompson and Morgan courgettes too. Do the taste test ... cautiously.

30? Are you a courgette growing business Skandi?!?
im watching these threads with interest, as growing zucchini but not fothergills or T&M, it’s from Kings seeds.

Many seed companies use common suppliers for much of their seed stock, so I would certainly check any courgette plants which were named as 'Zucchini' on the seed packet, regardless of who you bought the seeds from.
It's an unfortunate name to give a courgette variety as (particularly in the US), any type of courgette is often simply referred to as 'zucchini' rather than as a the named variety it seems to be in this case.

That was exactly what I posted to check in the other topic thread. But I think the rogues are all "zucchini" type, which I'm not growing. I've checked the others carefully, no issues so far but I'm also not 100% sure I've tried one off every plant  :o

I have notified the R.H.S tonight to see if they are aware of the problem.I will inform you when I get some response from them,it might take several days before i hear from them.

Do you mean lick them before cooking or try cooking a piece first?

I think/hope you can tell when they are raw?
It’s a bit worrying this...one of the reasons I grow courgettes, is to feed my fish. I’d hate for them to be poisoned, it’s not worth the risk if I have any doubts.

It's been posted left, right and centre on gardening forums and groups for a week or two now, so I'm sure the RHS know.
A1154, apparently if one courgette is affected, the whole plant is (and vice versa), so you only need to test one from each plant.
I've tested two of my three plants now - both fine, so fingers crossed for the third one.
