Hello @cross_952 and welcome to the forum :)

I'm afraid I can't remember it's name ... it's driving me bonkers!  It's a member of the solanum family like potatoes, aubergines and nightshades ... I think it's seeds are sometimes in birdseed and lurk in the soil until we have a warm spell and then they just appear ... they are very beautiful ......... and I can't remember it's name ........... Grrrrrr!

    Someone !!! ..........................................😣

    How about shoo-fly @Dovefromabove ?

Whatever it grows are likely to be toxic ... but then so are the fruits that grow on potato plants ... we had some appear in the veg patch amongst the sweetcorn a few years ago ... they looked lovely ... we left them until the flowers were over then pulled them up.

Someone else will come along soon and remind me what they are ... 💁‍♀️

You can tell you OH that it's not a 'wild' type of weed ... it's more of a 'plant in the wrong place' ..... whether that also qualifies it to be described as a weed I'll leave for you to fight it out  ;)
