Hi again. So a couple of things happened at once! I got some bags of manure from the GC to dig into the terraced beds but at the same time I got lucky and managed to bag a load of plants coming out of one of our existing jobs! ..................

These needs to get planted asap before they dry out too much, will I be ok digging in the manure as I plant them or should I plant into the existing soil/compost mix and then mulch with the manure?
I would spread the manure over the beds, fork it over thoroughly to mix the manure and soil well together, and then plant, water and mulch.

@Devonian I have no idea what they are!!! 🤣 all I know is that they are free and huge! Let's hope they love part shade. And I will definitely be looking at interplanting with Acers, Hostas and ferns.

    Thanks for the reply!
    Might they be Liriope muscari?

Look like Liriope muscari to me too. If so they prefer shade and will have blue flowers August which last for months - unless they’re the white cultivar Munroe White

Thanks @Dovefromabove @Hostafan1 and @Butterfly66..... I'll be getting on to this today.

They are all bare root at the moment and today is supposed to be pretty warm, they'll be fine if I keep them wet right? If I can't get them all in the ground today?
I’ve no idea what I’m doing.

push them close together to minimise water loss. They'll be fine like that or a couple of days
