Cherry Cascade Tomato Problems

Hi folks, my cherry cascade tomato plants are wilting quite badly this year. I don't know what the problem is?? A similar thing happened last year, but not quite as bad or as early as this year. All potted in hanging buckets, manured and in my compost (4 of them). The leaves wilt first followed by the stem all the way in to the branch. I've been breaking them off trying to stave off the problem, but it only seems to exacerbate it!! I bought seeds 3 years ago, but have been using the seeds I've harvested myself since. Are bought seeds invigorated in some way ? to help prevent this type of disease, if it is a disease?? Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance. J

I suspect it is lack of nutrients caused by you using home made compost.  Proprietary compost will have a nutrient mix added to it. When forced to use my own compost for potting, I add a generous amount of blood fish and bone to it. I suggest you feed with something like phostrogen on a regular basis.

I agree.. looks more like a deficiency.  Could also happen due to over watering (or under watering) as the roots aren't able to perform properly.

    Have you been feeding them?

    I  agree too
If the plant is getting good light then the pale leaves are likely due to insufficient nitrogen and possibly other nutrients missing from your compost.
Good ol'Phostrogen should correct it as fb says - or any other general purpose plant food and they should look better in 10-14 days.
Once the leaves look better and the fruit begins to set, then would be a good time to switch to a tomato feed e.g. Tomorite or similar
