If you have a pollinator's delight near to your tomatoes for example, are they more or less likely to pollinate your tomatoes? Might they ignore them because you've provided something that they prefer?
I work on the principle that most plants take a while to regenerate nectar B3 so if there are pollinators in the area they will look for a different source to make their journey worthwhile
Same principle as the bird feeder, aphids give them something to do while they wait.
