Cor-Ten edging- Anyone have any recommendations for suppliers?

Hi all,

I've decided to create a design involving cor-ten edging. I'll probably need to buy quite a lot of it (30m worth or so), and of course it's pretty expensive.

Does anyone have experience with suppliers? Should I be going for the generic 1m sections (which retail for £12-£15 per meter), or is there a supplier out there that will create made to measure sections?

If you want to create a sweeping curve, you're best to get as long a piece as you can find / afford.
    Devon.
  • Are there any steel fabricators in your area that you could talk to and they could make to order? Agree that a continuous piece is best for a curve.

I agree, it's something which I'd look at having made to order if it were my project
    Devon.
  • We went with Everedge and have been very happy...but you can look locally for other suppliers. We probably installed a similar amount to your situation.

My Everedge is brilliant too, but I only needed a new metres. I have to say I had my doubts, but ordered after feedback on the forum. It has does precisely what I hoped it would.

Big fan of everedge here as well. Or are you looking for something chunkier @Gaughan.david ?

Thanks everyone. I've seen Everedge, but never any in cor-ten- is that a thing?

I don't necessarily need it to be chunky- just to define some borders, between a grass base and a gravel base.
  • ALSO, based on someone elses' recommendation, I've spoken to a couple of metal companies and the following site came as a recommendation:

    Check this out: https://www.buymetalonline.co.uk/product/corten-steel/

    2.5m x 1.25m corten sheet for £122, free shipping, with 5 free cuts making 6 x 2.5m lengths at about 20cm height.

works out to £8 per meter! I'd just have to work out how to join the lengths together, presumably!
