Please could anyone identify this tree

  This is currently growing in my front lawn. About 10 feet tall at the moment. Dark green/brownish leaves. Deciduous. Thank you.

  Could it possibly be a purple leaf birch?

  Thank you for replying rachelQrtJHBjb. I've google-imaged purple leaf birch and while the leaves are a very similar colour, the leaves on my tree don't have such a serated edge. Or, do you know if that likely to vary from tree to tree? Best regards.

  I think @amancalledgeorge  has it ... those look like poplar leaves to me.
