Who’s eating my strawberries

    I have to have bird netting. I wildlife garden and I thought, 'I will let the birds have a few'. The blackbirds didn't have a 'few' they had any that were red and ripe, took me a few days to catch on, would see some looking promising go back the next day, no sign of them.  :)

    I encourage wildlife too @GemmaJF and I net my strawberries but it didn't keep the mouse out! Still plenty for me though so hey ho

    Squirrels were eating my strawberries this year, caught him with it in his mouth and the fact that he used to take both green and red ones and hide them to eat later. I might make a separate bed that I can net next year. Birds are now after the raspberries 🤨

    Personally I prefer watching the antics in my garden to the dross on TV, it can be disheartening @Ilikeplants but sometimes the comedy and the cheek of it win out  :)

    @herbaceous, the wildlife have more strawberries than I do as I’ve planted enough in the borders for them too but they still come for mine. Here’s the cheeky one
