Sweet pea plants dying

I have several sweet pea plants dying but the plants next to them are fine and flowering well. Any ideas what the problem is and what can be done to prevent more plants dying?
They are watered. Need feeding again?

    They do need a lot of feed to grow well and also moisture.   Maybe some slug or snail has had a munch at the base?  Or something else is taking the water from those plants?
