Eryngiums ae not really pot plants, they have long tap roots and like fairly poor, dry soil.
How can you lie there and think of England

  • Should I put it in the ground then ?Do you think also I may be watering too often?

I would put in the ground, somewhere sunny and don't over water. They will cope in fairly poor soil, but need good drainage.

  • Is it Eryngium giganteum? Although rather early to be losing its colour, the silver does turn a buff brown as it ages.
  • I'm not too sure with regards to the full name, think I do recall it being called Big Blue. Many thanks for everyone's help I appreciate it
