Concerns about Nandida Firepower shrub

I have wanted a Nandida firepower, (heavenly bamboo) for a long time and have just purchased one only to read online that the berries are highly toxic to both animals and birds, contain cyanide. Is this true and if it is which is the best way to dispose of this plant.

    Apple pips contain cyanide too.   I have cats and dogs and visiting birds and have no problems with this plant.

    I have several Nandida and a dog - both are healthy :)

    I had the same initial concern, but my dogs, cats and visiting wildlife all ignore the berries - seems they know instinctively what is edible and what is not. Unless you plan to deliberately poison anyone/anything by adding the berries to an edible meal, all will be well ;)

    Thank you I might keep it now. I don't think I have anyone I want to poison at the moment.
