Planted autumn fruiting raspberry plants in november. No sign of growth but when i scratch the stem its green inside. Any ideas?

I had the same when I planted my raspbs.
I assumed they'd died, but I also noticed the green stems when scratched.
The following year the shoots appeared - and appeared, and appeared - even from several feet from where they were planted, and they are doing really well now.
Disappointing not to get the raspberries when you're expecting them, but you'll probably be overwhelmed with them next year 🤞
