Help ID a plant I saw on Gardeners World Please!

Hi, Just wondered if somebody was able to identify the plant shown below from Friday 3rd June, Gardeners World (26 mins).  My pictures probably don't do it justice.  My Plant Identifier App is suggesting Aeonium Tabuliforme, but it doesn't look quite right to me.  Definitely looks like some kind of succulent though.  Also, it is definitely green, rather than the slightly yellow looking shade in my second (bad) photo.  Any Ideas?

    They like good drainage and cope in poor and shallow soils so are great for shallow planters and rockeries - https://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/17164/Sempervivum-tectorum/Details

    Thanks Obelixx for the link & tips!  I have a little rockery, but under a large tree, so quite shady.  Would that still work, do you know?

    No.  If you check the link it does say "full sun".

    Hi Obelixx, I did have a look at the link, but wasn't quite sure how critical the full sun element was.  I guess they'd be at best painfully slow growers without the sun & at worst they'll die.  They do seem to be very hardy though!  I'll find another spot or indoors maybe.  Thanks again!

    Absolutely great for shallow containers ... we have them in broken terracotta pots in a mix of MPC with grit and a handful of loam, topped with a layer of grit.  Every broken pot is another home for more sempervivum offsets.  

    Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

    Hi Dovefromabove - is that a shallow planter outside?

    If full sun isn't critical the info will include Partial Shade as a possible location.  In this case, not.

    Have you not got a shallow container you can plant up with them - several leaf colours available - and make a display on a table or low wall?
