Can you pair clematis with honeysuckle?

    Just to resurrect this, I'm inclined to use a honeysuckle Belgica and a viticella clematis to cover a 4m wide west-facing fence. I was interested to see comments suggesting that the h'suckle doesn't do well on fences because that is where I've seen it perform admirably. I had wondered about multiple clematis but I do like the wildlife that is attracted by the h'suckle. The Belgica followed by a viticella will also give good succession.

    Has anyone paired either with wall-trained pyracantha?

    Great idea. Get the most vigorous Clematis. Don't expect Clemasuckle.
    Everyone likes butterflies. Nobody likes caterpillars.
