Green Beans

My  beans have been feed and watered for weeks but the flowers are few and far between.  Now the flowers have dropped and the beans are very sparse.  Has anyone else had this problem.  Any advise would be welcome.

I think you can thank the weather for that.
My runners and dwarf French beans were doing well then the weather changed to cool, cloudy and showery. Not great for bee pollination
They'll soon start up again when it warms up a bit in the next few days

@goochie, in principle you shouldn't need to feed, or indeed water, if you prepare properly at planting stage.  I never do any feeding and the only concession I've made in the recent dry-ish spell has been to chuck the odd washing up water on them.  My vines are full of flowers.

This is really only advice for next year but my set up supports 24 plants in one square yard of soil and provides a healthy crop year on year.  [email protected] if you'd like a fuller explanation?

Thank you both for your advice.  My beans are in containers hence feed/water regime.   No problems in previous years time will tell. Thanks again.

Sorry Goochie.  Comments withdrawn but I don't think this type of bean lends itself to container growing - never quite as good.
