Expert opinion on Choisya and Cytisus

    In my experience, cytisus are short lived and also very dull and boring except for the 2 weeks they're in flower.  I have never seen one that looks as good as @Fairygirl's so maybe they're just better suited to her cool, damp climate.

    Choisya have lovely glossy foliage which is attractive when not in flower, the flowers last for weeks and they are perfumed.
    Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

    Thanks @Obelixx Choisya seems to be a no-brainer. I didn't realise Cytisus were short-lived until you and Bijdezee mentioned it.
