Pinus/silver crest browning

Hello there... it has been a while. I have new findings. The pinus has started going brown. Possibly From too much water?
It was doing well but they are not hardy to uk weather. I missed that important detail. 

Any advice appreciated.

    Just realised this pot is on gravel and at a slight gradient. Water may not be draining. Moving to flat surfaces.
