What is this?

Hello would love to know what this is? My mum grew this from seed- she thought it was okra but as it has grown it doesn’t look like an okra plant?

    Not okra for sure.. looks more like some sort of Thai type basil.  Do the leaves have a smell?

    Have a look at Guizotia abyssinica, or one of the other Guizotias. They germinate from the nyjer seed put out for birds

    @Blue onion there’s no smell to the leaves 
    @nutcutlet I think you’ve nailed it as I’ve noticed the flower buds forming
