Prickle -like leaves, tall spike of small white/pink flowers.

  • Many thanks, I've spent a while searching the web to no avail. Now realise I've got them planted in exactly the wrong part of the garden (damp shade). They were shock when they came up into flower but rather splendid. Thanks again.

    Dead easy from seed, but a bit painful to collect them. I would love to be able to get M. coulteriana which has yellow flowers.
