Mystery

I am having difficulty sending two photographs - will attach later.

The scenario we have is that we have a rose (maybe a rose) which has a distinctive trunk and a round canopy, providing abundant small yellow flowers with five petals.  That is the simple part.  Two months after all the petals of the rose bush, two bright pink roses appeared, which wilted in time and then further bright pink (maybe) roses continued to appear at the top of the trunk.  So, there seems to be thorny runners which maybe tubers as they grow vertically out of the ground and around the trunk.

A head scratcher indeed.  Any ideas?

We have only had the pleasure of this amazing garden of mystery for two years so are still wearing L plates.

We look forward to your experience and ability to help us out.  Many thanks indeed!

Vicky

You might need to resize the photos as there's  size limit.
