Ornamental Sorbus Aria lutescens

We recently purchased this tree from a fewgarden center, we did notice a few leaves had been eaten but now the problem is getting serious. Any idea what is eating it and how to cure it please.
Plant seems halty apart from that.
Regards,
Kevin

If you can't find any caterpillars etc., then might be a nocturnal pest, such as vine weevil, or even snails which love a night time climb.  A trip out after dark with a torch may catch the culprits.
A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.
