Look my phormium is flowering! (Joke)

I thought this was a one off last year, but this is the 2nd year I have this orchid in my phormium. Shall I rescue the orchid? Rescue the phormium? Or leave them be?

I would leave that exactly as it is, it looks lovely and they are clearly happy as close friends!  I just love 'no interference' gardening  :)

I would remove it. I had one growing right in at the roots of a Ligularia, and I would never have been able to enjoy it properly if I hadn't. It was completely smothered by the foliage.
It's been beside my pond for the last couple of years, and I enjoy it every day while in flower. It's been especially nice this year, as I can't get to the hills to enjoy them the way I normally do.  :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
