Giant 6 foot tall weed - please can you help identify

    This plant botanical name is Sonchus oleraceus  L. And common name is Smooth sowthistle. And this is belong to the Asteraceaea family.

    Definitely not a sow thistle. Sow thistles are plants I know extremely well. Not a sow thistle in a million years ... it looks nothing like a sow thistle. 

    For a start sow thistles are not umbellifers ...  and the photo is of an umbellifer. 🙄 

    Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
