    I can't think that the name would put me off a plant if I liked everything else about it, but I have done the opposite.  When I discovered there is a Welsh heritage apple called "Goose's Arse", I just had to have one.  The grower's publicity assures potential buyers that the name refers to the shape of the fruit, not the flavour.  (Or smell, I should hope.)
