Not bindweed..!

turmericturmeric Posts: 830
Initially I thought this was bindweed but when I pulled it out I realised it wasn't.  Does anyone know what this is?  It has the climbing/twining habit of bindweed but the leaves are thicker and really shiny and I think I saw berries along one piece but I could be wrong.  Any ideas?  Many thanks.

Brilliant, thank you Dove.  I love finding out what plants are.  I wish I knew the names of all the beautiful flowers in the hedgerows but it's so difficult to identify everything.  Thanks again.

I had a very privileged childhood roaming the lanes, woods and fields of rural Suffolk, a teacher who loved wild flowers and parents who made sure I had the books I needed.  I was very lucky  :)
