Patio rose advice

The first photo was taken 2 weeks ago and has bloomed regularly since I received it as a gift about a month ago, and the last photo was taken this week. I have deadheaded as the flowers have died, given the plant rose food and water it regularly but it doesn’t appear to be producing new buds - am I doing something wrong?

Don't worry, it just needs a break. Looks as though there are a couple of new shoots where you dead headed it, given time they should produce new buds and other shoots should grow.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

The commercial nursery will have grown it in intensive conditions, just to get it covered with flowers so people would buy it. It is only a baby really. Now it has to get used to the real world and grow more roots and leaves to feed itself. It is looking fine, all that is needed is a little patience :)

I'm always surprised at just how quickly new buds appear once all the old flowers have been removed.  I suppose it just indicates how much energy is being put into producing the hips (seed heads).

Our patio rose, compared with the original photo, has really grown recently and I wondered if it should now be planted in the garden - any advice please?
