I have not seen this before

Hi noticed this on mother inlaw tongue plant,told wife she was over watering,then discovered flowers are dripping nectar not water.

    Hi @garden geek,

    Mine also flowers occasionally .... and the nectar does make a bit of a sticky mess.
    The flowers are rather insignificant, and once they've finished I cut the stems down.#

    I'm watering every two weeks at the moment and will go to just once a month later in the year.

    thanks bee,if these were hardy plants bees might be able to cut there flower visits down

    Mine flower every year ... but they're quite mature plants.  Watch the nectar on the furnishings!

    Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

    My aloe aristata does the same and makes a very sticky mess on the windowsill so good advice Dove!
