Self-heal, to me a weed, colonising my lawn.

Spent hours today digging clumps of self heal out of my (large) lawn, it creeps and seeds, a real pest. If you mow over it it just hunkers down and spreads just the same. Picture is a 4' x 6' patch that last year was only a small clump.

It's a great lawn plant, goes well with clover, bees love it.

If you don’t want it to run rampant in the lawn you need to mow the lawn fire often and give it a thorough raking with a spring tine lawn rake every so often. That’ll keep it to a minimum.
