what's this plant?
The plant is about 20cm tall, and spreads fairly rapidly through rhizomes.
A visitor recently reeled with horror and declared it to be the dreaded Knotweed.
I don't believe that myself unless it's a particularly tame version, but I can see why you might think that from the growth patter, leaf shape etc.
