When to reduce in size?

Not being a gardener :), how n when should this be done . Thanks in advance.

    Do you just want to tidy it? How much would you likevto remove?

    Pruning says April/May or after flowering.I have done mine at all times of the year and it still seems to shoot out OK though you may sacrifice flowers for next year.

    Want to keep, and needs to be 6” off everywhere!

    Go for it then.  Make sure your secateurs are sharp and clean and that you cut back to just above a leaf node so you don't get dieback.
