My Viburnum is Hosting...

I do not know what. It's stayed, happily, in the pot I bought it in for a couple of months but today finally ready to pot on to final position, found this? There are food balls, yellow, dotted through the soil. This looks like a clutch of eggs. Or maybe my brain is looking for nighmare scenarios. Any ideas please, and if it's a pest, recommendations of kind management gratefully received. Thanks so much!

    Slug eggs, I think.

Thanks very much - popped them in the wheelie bin. Feel quite sick now, don't know what it is about slugs 🤢
