Blueberry Blight?? Canker?

Hi,

I would really appreciate some help. I don't know if I have blueberry stem blight or if this is a natural progression to older wood, but there are also some brown spots that have appeared on the leaves.

I don't really want to be cutting stems out unnecessarily as there are quite a few with this discoloration. I was going to give them a feed and another mulch, in the interim, but would appreciate any advice and feed back.

Cheers

Ali

ps They are planted in acid soil and have sun around half of the day, then dappled shade and are full of berries.

Are they new plants? How long have they been planted? :)

Hi, I have had them since March last year, but planted them out, most probably about a year ago after I found out I had acid soil and have also only been watering them with rain water in the hot weather.

Just how acid is your soil? Blueberries need soil to be pH 5.5 or less.
Blueberries need very acid soil or ericacious compost to do well and use only rainwater on them and a feed for azaleas and the like.
Tap water is better than no water, but unless your tap water is very soft, rainwater is best.
