Calling all Salvia experts for identification

SammymummySammymummy Posts: 202
Hi

I have two different salvias in my sunny border but the name tags got lost over the years. I know I bought Salvia ‘Amethyst’ and ‘Viola Klose’. Can someone please tell me which is which? The second one has bigger leaves. Many thanks!

Viola Klose is the deeper purple one I think, Amethyst is more pink.

The top one is Amethyst as it is the same as mine, therefore the bottom one must be Viola Klose which I haven't grown.

Viola Klose has a purple blue flower and only grows up the 30cm in height
So your second photo is that, then the first photo is Amethyst imo,

Thank you all for your expert advice! I now remember Amethyst grew really big (the one in the photo was divided from the mother plant) but Viola Klose was more compact (still the original plant in the photo).
