Arg tomato problems

this year so far every tomato that's started to ripen has had an issue. I can't match these two to any pictures online. They're in pots that are too small really - could that be behind it? I plan to repot them this weekend.

If you get the same images I do in the box at the top, they are very similar.
The likely culprit is direct physical damage to the skin from insects allowing in rot.
