Help! Pesky bugs!

I have a vine weevil problem. Most of my plants are in pots. Best way to treat please. Also aphids in my next door neighbours tree are now blowing into my garden and covering my plants and I now have ants everywhere to boot. New to the forum and need help as getting very frustrated. Thank you!.

You can buy nematodes for vine weevil, and look for the grubs, as they're the ones which do the damage - put them out for the birds. Potted plants are more susceptible.
Just wipe aphids from plants with your hands or give them a skoosh of water from a hose.
Likewise ants - some hefty water will move them on. They're only a problem if ground is very dry, especially in a pot,  and they create some tunnels which undermine the plant.

Thank you. I have just bought some nematodes so will give them a try. Do I need to do this once or repeat procedure?. Will give the plants a good hose spray later for aphids.

It depends how big an infestation you have. You may need to repeat the process. They're temperature dependent too, so just follow the instructions  :)

Encouraging lots of birds into the garden will also help. At this time of year, and earlier, many birds are feeding their youngsters, and aphids are a very tasty meal. Blue tits and great tits in particular. A feeder or two, hung near the planting where aphids are lurking, can help enormously to get them coming in. They'll hoover them up for you  :)

You need to apply the vine weevil nematodes again at the end of September  to mid October.    Then again just for precaution next March to April
