Herons bonsai

Hello everyone,
3 weeks ago I purchased a Herons bonsai.
its developed white coating of what looks like fungi. I’ve kept it indoors and out of direct sunlight and I’ve watered it once a week. Should I place it outdoors ? Does it need a bigger pot ? Am I not watering enough/too much ? Any advice would be helpful. I’ve attached a picture. Thank you!

The majority of bonsai are outdoor plants. I suspect yours is finding the atmosphere indoors too drying. In the first instance I would place it in a sheltered spot outside ... out of direct sun.

However I have only a very small knowledge of bonsai and I suggest that you email Herons Nursery with your photo and ask for advice.
